It has been a quite week or two so haven't gotten much done but here are a couple of lo's that I have finished off in the past couple of days. I like the way Nicayla's page turned out but Jordie's not really happy about but we all have those days. It turned out too busy I think???
We all got up early and went to the Blackboy Hill Dawn Service for ANZAC day. The rain held until the service was concluding and it was so moving to see so many people there both young and old. We also attended the sunset service yesterday afternoon before heading down to Hungry Jack's so the kids couple get some signed posters from some of the boys from the West Coast Eagles. I managed to forget my camera in the rush but snapped a couple of shots on my camera so will upload them a bit later when I can work out how to down load them.
May the spirit of the ANZAC's live long in all of us ...... Lest We Forget.
Went out scrapping on Friday night. Not a really productive night for me more social... but I did manage to get a set of ATC's done and a couple of cards. The ATC's are for a Purple, Purple and Nothing but Purple theme. The cards just for birthdays or whatever.... Hope ya all had a great weekend! Love ya Shirl
Well this is something that most of us don't do all that often and something that I force myself to do. Stand in front of the camera sometimes. I brought this lo as a kit late last year from a lss as I couldn't get to the class and thought it looked like fun. I think it turned out ok. And not a terribly bad pix of me. The photo was taken winter last year and my g/f's Debbie, Lennie and myself went to the scrapbooking shop just down the road from where I live to a midnight scrap. We have only been there once as the shop doesn't have alot to offer. Well Jenny (the owner) had a lucky door prize and I was lucky enough to win the prize. And as most of you would know the prize is usually something little - well we were blown away. I got a MM Foam Alpha Stamp set!! What a surprise. Needless to say I was more than a little chuffed! TTFN Love ya Shirl
This one is of my DH Ken, myself, my big sis, Evie and her b/f, Ray. It was taken as we enjoyed a wonderful lunchtime reunion whilst we had our flying visit back "home" to Far North Queensland. The Yacht Club is a haven for yachties and localite's from all over Port Douglas and looks across to our little spot of paradise - Cooya Beach. You can almost see our beach in the background. TFL.... I am feeling kinda homesick now... Much Love Shirl
This photo was taken by Pixifoto's ages ago back in early 2006. It has taken me ages to get around to doing the lo. Nothing seemed to work everytime I took it out of the packet but it finally all fell together. I started it off a couple of weeks ago at my last Friday Night Midnight Madness but have only just gotten around to finishing it off this arvo. Again TFL... Love Shirl
Here is the ever gorgeous Jordie testing his courage in the jaws of a crocodile.... The title is a tribute to the late Steve "The Crocodile Hunter" Irwin, whom all my kids absolutely adored....
The stamping at the top and bottom (cut off when scanning) reads AQWA (Aquarium WA) at Hiliarys Boat Harbour and the year 2006. It is about an hours drive from where we are living but the kids really enjoyed the day out. It was changed alot since we visited some 13 years ago whilst we were over here on our honeymoon. TFL.
