I can't believe I am blogging so much of late. As I am still unwell I have decided to take a few days off from real life, rest up as much as possible and have a little play here and there in my craft room. Making hay whilst the sun shines as they say. Today I had to make a sympathy card for a family member and then I had some spare time on my hands so this is what I came up with. I was playing around with my *new* to me Stampin' Up stamps and ink pads. I wanted to try and use colours that I would not normally use so today I am please to present this card :

Was just playing around in my craft room this afternoon finishing off another Stampin' Up Christmas Ornament. For this one I went for more traditional colours in Old Olive and Raspberry Ripple. Whilst I meant this to be more similiar to the ones you can see in the Holiday Mini Catalogue I made a wee mistake when adding the twine and wasn't happy with how everything sat when I was putting the finishing touches on, so I decided to add some mulberry paper roses and see how it went. I am not a 100% sure it is finished yet as I am thinking about spritzing it so it has more shimmer and perhaps adding some bling to dress it up as well. But this is it for now....
Hi Everyone Just stopping in to share a layout that I shamelessly scrap lifted from one of my fellow Design Team members over at Let's Capture Our Memories. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to do a scraplift of it. So with all credit going to Leila Cassimira for the original work of art I hope you enjoy seeing my take on it.
Hello Well my week certainly got off to a great start (if you can ignore the fact that I am sick sick sick once again!!). I was lucky enough to snap up a bargin when a local lady decided to sell of all of her crafting goodies. I picked up a Stampin' Up Stamp Caddy, 35 ink pads, heaps of matching pens, 7 stamp sets plus a punch. And top it all off the lovely lady gave me a brayer and some daubers as well since I brought so much. It was hard to resist but as I paid less than a third of new retail! And every gal has got to love a crafty bargin doesn't she? So today I had some card making to do. Firstly I made up two cards that I can't share just yet as they are for my DT at Let's Capture Our Memories but then since I had a little time on my hands and some new goodies that needed testing out I made up a couple of simple cards that I'd love to share with you. So here they are and I think for a change nearly all the products used on these were actually Stampin' Up.

Hi For the month of November the DT girls over at Let's Capture Our Memories have been given an extra challenge! Each of our sketches comes with a twist! Don't you just LOVE it? I know I do. But I have to say that the first challenge was a little challenging!! lols To be sitting in warm, humid oh so sunny Queensland and thinking of making a card with the twist "snow" was a little interesting to say the least. I was lucky enough to have some old Bo Bunny papers in my stash as well as some snowman stamped out images (thanks lil Sis aka Carolyn Zabel) from Magnolia to save the day. So here is my latest card creation. Don't forget to HOP ON over to the LCOM sketch blog to check out all the other DT's cards and to participate for a chance to win a great prize!
Hi Everyone Sorry I am so behind and haven't been posting much of late. After the house move I ended up so unwell that everything has just gone to the dogs! But today I wanted to share with you all my two latest creations. Firstly this layout sketch challenge from Let's Capture Our Memories. This layout is all about my first ever scrapbooking retreat. Would you believe it was 12 months ago and I am only just now getting around to scrapping it??? I would have loved to go again this year but timing just didn't permit it. I am looking towards next year but thinking I am going to so do this again! Be sure you head over to LCOM and check out their sketch blog. You won't be disappointed as there are just so many talented ladies on the design teams.
