Let's Capture Our Memories Reveal

Hello Again

Another Let's Capture Our Memories card reveal from me. I really loved making this one. No idea why but it is just such a simple card that came together so easily. With so much going on at the moment in my private life I am finding it hard to find time to actually sit down and "enjoy" making cards or layouts so perhaps that is why I love this card. It came together quickly and I loved the colours and the concept!

Don't forget to drop by the blog and show the other talented and creative ladies on the Design Team some love!

Special LCOM Card Reveal

Morning All

Well loads has been happening in our personal lives and when this happens I tend to get so slack when it comes to updating my blog... I really truly need to get so much better at this!

First thing for today that I want to share is a card I made for my gorgeous niece Trish and her to be husband Steve. I wanted to make something extra special for this extra special couple. As I had a sketch reveal coming up for Let's Capture Our Memories I their sketch as my base for the cover of the gate style card I made. I choose my niece's favourite colour of purple and this is what I came up with. Please don't forget to stop by the LCOM blog to check out all the other layout & card creation. I am amazed week in and week out by all the inspiring work they share!

Project Life Newbie

Well I promise this will be my last post for today! Honest! I have been considering for a LONG TIME now looking into Becky Higgins Project Life style of scrapping for just a few albums. I decided just after Christmas to take the plunge! Why now you ask? Well as many of my friends know I recently, December 2013, had the pleasure of attending yet another Bon Jovi concert here in Brisbane. I am a HUGE Bon Jovi fan from day one. Again my bestie from Tasmania, the beautiful Caz flew up so we could go together! This time she brought her wonderful hubby Pete up as well. So the awesome foursome (Ken, myself, Pete and Caz) had a couple of wonderful days together and enjoyed a fantastic Bon Jovi concert as well. Last time in Dec 2010 I ended up with a great scrapbook and lots of let over photos! So this time around I thought I might try a hybrid album... one where I do Project Life but also incorporate a few special photos that I will scrap in the traditional sense of the word. Bonus this time around the Program is 12x12 so it too will fit neatly into a scrapping protector and go into the back of my album once complete.

So bearing in mind I am a total newbie I thought I would be brave and share my first couple of pages. There is a cover page and a two page spread so far. The two page spread I think I will still play around with a little more... maybe add another little photo in the middle 2x4" slot. But I am pretty happy with them so far!

Thanks for stopping by.

Shadow Box Card

Hi

Got busy yesterday making a shadow box card for a special someone with a birthday coming up! I was googling (as you do) for some inspiration and came across this card on Pinterest. Yes fancy that... what a endless source of inspiration Pinterest can be!

This card was cased from one I found on Pinterest by the very talented Ruth Muzeen. Please head on over to her blog at Flower Sparkle and leave her some love! Thanks for sharing your wonderful creations Ruth and giving us all some great inspiration!

Continuing my love affair with the "Stippled Blossoms" stamp set, here is my case of Ruth's card:

Thanks everyone,

Let's Capture Our Memories Sketch Reveals

Hello Again

I am such as slack blogger... I can't believe I have missed all of my reveals for January! So sorry! Part of the reason is I have been having issues with my log in ID. I have had to go through the long process of re-establishing my identity and so on to get a new log in.... I got a little "frazzled" with all the hassles so kept putting it off... but it is done now so once again I will try and keep the updates a little more regular... try, try try!

In the meantime I need to share with you all my latest reveals for Let's Capture Our Memories. I am so loving doing card creations this term. I have two cards to share with you this morning. Both made with some very pretty Stampin' Up Stamps. In particular, can you tell, the Stippled Blossoms stamps! I so adore these two step stamps. They have almost endless possibilities!

Thanks for stopping by but don't forget to head over to the LCOM blog and leave some love for the other fantabulous ladies. If you are in need of some inspiration you will find plenty on the blog with weekly reveals, and some great competitions too!

Happy Scrappin

Sympathy Card

Good Afternoon

Today I had to make some time in my craft room to make a sympathy card to send to a life long friend of my hubby's family who lost her husband on New Years Day. I find making sympathy cards hard as I feel they have to be just right. Now too glitzy or glamorous but still pretty at the same time.

I do hope what I have come up with will be ok? Yes I am my own worst critic!

I choose to use my Stampin' Up supplies today in particular the Stippled Blossoms Stamp Set. I love creating with it so much an haven't used it in ages. I have made three cards all up. One I can't share just yet but I will share with you the other two today starting with the sympathy card.

This is how it turned out... please tell me honestly what you think?

Thanks for stopping by and letting me know what you think of my latest card creation. Hope you find something on my blog which inspires you to get crafty.

New Year, New Start

Good Morning

Well I can't believe I haven't updated my blog in SO LONG! I am so sorry everyone. I always mean so bloody well and then real life just takes over and before I know it so much time has passed.

I am happy to say that I have been asked to stay on for another term at Let's Capture Our Memories. This term we were all asked to nominate what we'd like to do so I opted for cards this time around. I am finding it so hard to find time to scrap at the moment. So cards appealed to me.

I do hope to get some scrapping done soon but as I have all these wonderful photos of our friends Pete & Caz and our Bon Jovi concert back in December as well as Nicayla's Year 7 Graduation and a Gala Dinner we went to as well. So lots of things to create I hope.

But for now... time to update and share some of the cards that I have forgotten about. Let's get started with my first DT card for 2014. Please be sure you head over to the blog at LCOM to check out all the other great cards and layouts which will be alternated this term week to week. Each Saturday you can check out our challenges and be in the running for a great prize. Also be sure to check out the online store... some great bargins to be had at the moment. Be quick you don't want to miss out!

Have a great day.
