Challenge # 239 - Oct 24 - Heritage

Good Morning Everyone

Today I am sharing with you a layout I created a while ago which fits the "heritage" part of the latest challenge over at Use Your Stuff.   Do yourself a favour and make sure you click on the link and check out the other great layouts from my very talented DT members.

I  wanted the "proofs" from our wedding photographer to speak for themselves so I keep the embellishments very simple.  I love how the double layout turned out.  Our photographer was just brilliant.

Twenty three years have passed since this special day and quite a few years more of being together so I think this definitely meets the heritage part of the challenge.

Ahh to be young again!!......

Thanks for stopping by and I'd love to see your challenge up on the Use Your Stuff blog.

Retarte 88 - The Cutting Cafe

Good Evening Everyone,

This week I am back with some gorgeous files from The Cutting Cafe.  Do yourself a favour and go check them out.  It was so much fun playing with my Brother Scan N Cut using these files.  I got to use the Candy Set.  As it is almost Halloween The Cutting Cafe has some great files for Halloween you won't be disappointed.

Being an Aussie I don't normally celebrate Halloween (but many do these days) I decided to see what I could do with  my file that wasn't Halloween focused.  So firstly I cut the file out and made it into a candy card.  This gorgeous set comes with some great circular Halloween sentiments too I have to add.  Obviously I haven't used them as my candy card is for a "birthday".  Here is what it looks like:

And here is what the inside looks like.  I have kept it pretty simple so the card speaks for itself!

And secondly here is a card that I made using some of the files to put a large piece of candy on my card front!

These files are just so versatile!

Now before you go you have to head over to Stampartpapel and check out the other amazing creations.  If you think mine is good wait til you see what the other ladies have created.  I am so in awe of some of the cards made this week.  They almost make me want to celebrate Halloween!!

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Crafting!

Use Your Stuff - Black/Orange/Neutral Colours

Good Evening Friends,

Today I am back with a challenge from last week (yes I am horrible I know - sorry :( ) from Use Your Stuff.  It seems it is the time of year where everything thinks of Halloween.  There are so many challenges about at the moment that seem to be based around this celebration.  Although I am not one to celebrate personally I do love seeing all the fun, creative, gorgeous projects that all my fellow DT members are coming up with.  So please if you have a spare minute or three pop on over to the UYS blog and check them out.

With working full time I find I have very little time these days for my beloved crafting.  I have to apologise for the picture quality of my share tonight.  It appears a little more "yellowish" than orange as I only had a small window of opportunity to photograph my card and the lighting wasn't the best.

Since I don't celebrate Halloween I decided to make a simple easel card that could be used for many occasions.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

Use Your Stuff - Challenge #235 - Mood Board

Good Morning All

Well this working full time sucks!  LMAO.... only because it is leaving me NO  time at all of late to craft much or create or even keep my blog up updated!  Well let's be honest I suck at that all the time!!! I cannot believe here we are at the end of my challenge over at Use Your Stuff and ONLY now do I realise I haven't even shared my layouts or challenge on my OWN blog! DOH!!!

So firstly this is the Mood Board I created to inspire.  I am not normally a fan of yellow but I have to say I so feel in love with this that I was inspired to create not one but two layouts using it!

And this is the first of the layouts I created and used to showcase just one of the many ways the mood board could be interpreted.  And yes sorry of course it is more "Bon Jovi".  A true fan can never get enough!!

And this is the second layout I created.  Our Casper when he was but a kitten.  I can't believe how small he once was...

Thank you all for stopping by.  Don't forget to do yourself a favour and follow the link above over to Use My Stuff's blog.  Honestly the lovely ladies on my Design Team have created some amazing work this week.

Happy Crafting
